It’s interesting to see that with the current financial crises that are taking place in the U.S., the recent IBC show that took place in Amsterdam was such a success. According to IBC COO Mike Crimp, this was the most successful show yet with more space being sold and the largest pre-registered group ever.

This is understandable, since IBC takes place in the heart of Western Europe, whose market is worth $8.5 billion and has seen 8.5 percent growth in 2008. Plus, approximately 120 different countries from around the world descend on Amsterdam for this five-day September event.

While I was slated to go to the IBC, I had to cancel last minute due to a personal obligation. From what I’m hearing, I missed a terrific opportunity to network with some of the leading international broadcast companies. However, we were fortunate to have copies of P3 Update’s September issue available to the many attendees that visited IBC from around the world.
