Burbank, Calif. – (August 18, 2008) Supervising sound editor Laurent Kossayan has joined the creative team at Warner Bros. Post Production Services. A native of France and recent emigrant to the United States, Kossayan has been a frequent collaborator on writer/director Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s films, serving as supervising sound editor on the Oscar-nominated “Amelie” and “The City of the Lost Children,” for which he received Motion Picture Sound Editors Golden Reel Awards in the Best Sound Editing – Foreign Film category. He also worked on “A Very Long Engagement,” which garnered him an MPSE Golden Reel Award nomination. "Sound is one of the most important storytelling tools; it has the ability to touch and evoke much emotion from the audience,” said Kossayan. “Warner Bros. Post Production Services’ dedication to the craft of sound is second to none, and I am thrilled to be part of the team.” Kossayan began his post production sound career in 1992, working on a cartoon series.
